Rising Eagle Publick House

rising eagle

We started our 2024 with a visit to our usual Monday haunt – Rising Eagle Publick House on Main Street.

We enjoyed wonderful food and love the live music on Mondays (6-8 pm).

The bar staff, Tim and Gail, not only make amazing drinks, but they are also friendly, funny and efficient. Adian, the manager makes sure everything runs smoothly.

There is a wide selection of beers, including beer flights. Drinks have a hefty pour and change with the season.

The food is comfort level. The ambience is casual and filled with Revolutionary War memorabilia and a wood burning fireplace.

Jim Turner has a weekly Revolutionary War trivia with a chance to receive a gift certificate – they are hard, but I have had the correct answer a few times and won once. Monday, I consumed the meat lover’s pizza – every meat you can think of – cooked perfectly with a crispy crunch but not burnt. Paul had the pork loin. He said it was flavorful and cooked perfectly.

I would be remiss if I did not mention Rising Eagle's amazing chowder, the best French onion soup, buffalo chicken fingers that are flawless, the baked haddock is flaky and delicious, never pass up the chicken pot pie when it is on the menu, and more.

Ordering is pretty easy – use a QR code, or at the hostess station or bar. Your food is brought to you piping hot.

They have a collection of games to play and always a little gift to entertain children.

Do yourself a favor and visit Rising Eagle for lunch or dinner and if you go on a Monday night to listen to live music you can usually find us at the bar – stop by and say hi!
