Anxiety! Yup that is what I felt when I realized I needed a haircut and now live in Melrose.

I took a deep breath and reached out to Zani Salon on Essex Street across from the Cedar Crossing train station. After all my hair can grow back right???

So when in doubt bring someone along with you. My daughter and I walked to Zani’s and were immediately greeted with warm smiles.

Tino, the owner, has been with the salon for 29 years, Judy for 25 years and Heidi for 3. We both loved getting our hair washed. Heidi did a great job on my cut especially with my cowlicks. Judy did a wonderful job cutting my daughter’s hair. She framed her face beautifully.

They have an ample supply of hair products for purchase but did not try to upsell us which is appreciated.

The place is clean, friendly, affordable and excellent styling.

Zani Salon joins my list of excellent shops in the Cedar Crossing neighborhood.
