Map of Melrose’s seven wards

On November’s ballot, Ward 3 residents will choose between sitting City Councilor Robb Stewart and challenger Christopher Park.

Stewart is running for a fourth term on the City Council, and would be the most senior member if elected. He argues that his experience and his understanding of Ward 3 issues and of how the City Council works make him the better choice.

Park has been active in the leadership of the last three override campaigns and has led advocacy around nearby development and streetscape improvements. He argues that he brings new ideas to the table, and will offer voters better communication and transparency around how the City Council works.

We spoke with Stewart and Park about each candidate’s background and vision for Melrose; their thoughts on key issues like the upcoming override vote; and how they would use their position on the City Council to improve the lives of Ward 3 residents. You can find our profiles of each candidate below.
