Firefly Bicycles

I recently joined the The Ride Cafe for a tour and a peek inside the Firefly Custom Bicycle workshop.

The shop started in 2011 and relocated in 2023 to Pleasant St in Melrose, they produce fully customized bicycles.

Their high-performance bikes are customized to the rider and the terrain they ride on – street, mountain, trail, long-distance, gravel. The goal is a beautiful bike with a smooth ride.

The five employees offer a personalized approach and pay meticulous attention to detail in the bike’s fitting, design, and construction.

The bikes have a titanium frame because they are flexible and don’t rust. They 3D print some of the parts and offer a range of finishes and graphics.

Firefly manufactures about 100 bikes a year and their customers are from all over the world. They are highly regarded for producing world-class custom bicycles tailored to the individual rider's preferences and needs.
