Melrose Diner

On a rainy Saturday, we were craving comfort food for breakfast. We headed to the Melrose Diner on West Wyoming Street.

Melrose Diner was once a donut shop, a different restaurant, and about 9 years ago it was transformed into the current eating establishment. It is an old-fashioned diner with Greek flair.

The Diner was sold about 6 months ago. The new owners, Kenya and Roberto, have kept the essentials – good food and service.

We were happy to see the regular wait staff, they are pleasant and efficient.

My omelet was excellent, and their home fries are tasty. My dining companions opted for eggs benedict, and both were pleased. There was plenty of hot coffee and the prices are very reasonable.

The diner serves breakfast and lunch until 2 pm. There is reserved parking in the Wyoming T parking lot.

We love retro-style diners, and the Melrose Diner is on point.

Open 7 days a week 7 am – 2 pm. Online ordering and take out is available.
